Re: 2013 Free Agents
Cribbs is a receiver, but he's been used out of the backfield a lot in his career, similar to how Green Bay uses Randall Cobb.

The defensive side of the ball is going to be interesting in terms of FA and the draft. Just take a quick look of the starters; DE--Carriker, Jenkins DT--Cofield, Neild(?), Baker(?)** [Don't see us keeping 2 NTs, one who's healthy, one who's coming off a torn ACL.] DE--Bowen OLB--Kerrigan, Rob Jackson(?)** ILB--Riley, Robinson ILB--Fletcher(?), Lorenzo** OLB--Orakpo** CB--Wilson, Crawford, C. Griffin**(?) FS--Gomes(?) SS--Doughty, Meriweather (?), Bernstein (?) CB--Minnifield(?) ** means FA to be (?) are the questionable guys I didn't include Hall, I think he's gone. Meriweathers on a 2 year deal but he's coming off a torn ACL, so he can't be counted on. Cedric Griffin was ok for us this year, but he can easily be upgraded. Bernstein blew up his knee not even into the first game of last year and was a 7th rounder, so he'll probably be cut. Gomes played less this year, he can be upgraded, and he was a liability at times in coverage. Minnifield didn't even play this year, but you all expect big things from him next year. Fletcher may retire. Rob Jackson is a FA who had some big games for us down the stretch this year, does he return as a backup or starter, should we try to trade Orakpo for picks and get another Pass Rusher high in the draft. Lorenzo is a FA, but he and the redskins want to work out a deal he said. The only question really on the DL is if we keep both Neild who is coming off a torn ACL and Baker who played some solid snaps for us this year, but isn't the pass rush threat that Neild is. I didn't even bother with Golston and Worthington and all the other backup DE's. They were bad, so I can see us drafting a couple of DEs and maybe getting a FA there. My solution Priority 1 get Jarius Byrd. He's franchised, Priority 2 get Goldson from San Fran (not likely to be franchised twice) FS is solved. (You draft Swearinger from South Carolina or Amerson from NC State for depth) SS draft it Priority 3 is Brent Grimes the CB from Atlanta. (Draft a CB high and a CB/returner low, Honey Badger comes to mind) Priority 4 is a pass rush threat that can be either a 3-4 OLB or 3-4 DE, like a Margus Hunt, in the draft, FA wise though I'd go after a Jason Jones of Seattle as a 3-4 DE, or a Phillip Wheeler of Oakland as a 3-4 OLB (He was a DE in college)

Also Helu can be our third down back. Edit: Bernstine and BW will also be back. I think alot of our answers are already wearing the B&G. |

I'm identifying FS as a need. Meriweather is a SS and I think he just might make a strong comeback next season. Bernstine has proven nothing. We still need a top veteran FS, IMHO. You are overrating our pass rush, even after we get Rak and Carriker back. If not Osi, we still need someone who can help us produce a better pass rush.

Re: 2013 Free Agents
I don't want a 30 something year old Cribbs. I like Crawford as a returner. I like Tyrann Mathieu as a returner in the draft.
No to Osi. He's fallen off the map fast as a DE. Plus you all didn't want Babin now you want Osi?

Re: 2013 Free Agents
Exactly. Osi would demand money probably a little less than what Babin got anyway. That entire dline for the giants played poorly this past season. Some good explosive players will be available when the Redskins pick. Crawford has done well returning kicks.

Re: 2013 Free Agents
No Cribbs or Osi. They dont fit our recent model of free agent target leading to our recent run of success.

Let me start out by saying that domestic violence is deplorable and thats what actually happened here. Chris Reiney deserves whatever punishment he gets. I'm guessing she probably took his cell phone so she could go through it because she had suspicions he was cheating or something. She was being "crazy" and he responded like a true scumbag. But I started thinking about this from a "layman legal" perspective. She stole his cell phone. He used physical force in an effort to get reclaim his illegally stolen property during the theft. If a random stranger stole your cell phone, wouldnt you be allowed to use some degree of physical force to retrieve your personal property? So why should you not be able to use physical force if someone you know steals your personal property during the theft. They werent married, so its not like it could be viewed as "shared property." Would it make a difference, from a legal perspective, whether you use force to PREVENT someone from taking something WHILE IN YOUR HOME vs. TAKING IT BACK WHILE LEAVING THE HOME. Would it make a difference if it was a brother or friend as opposed to a boyfriend/girlfriend? Again, in no way am i trying to justify the actions of a repeat domestic abuser. As a practicical matter, the guys a scumbag and we all know it. But from a legal perspective, couldnt it be argued that he was within his rights to use force to reclaim the property as she was in the act of committing a crime?
