Bengals @ Redskins: Lets Break it Down

The secondary is a mess, but the future might be better than we think. Crawford looks like he is gong to be here for a while, and I really like what Berstine has as a skill set. I think both have a future here. The team definately and desperately needs a stud in the secondary, either at safety or at corner. Probably won't get a stud with a 2nd round pick, and might be difficult to sign a stud free agent without making some sacrifices.

And oh yea, they desperately need at least a tackle if not a guard and center. Gettis looked good, but LeRibeus needs plenty of work. Hopefully Compton gets a shot this year to see what he has to offer. Of course, Brown might be healthy next year?...Hmmm...nevermind.

Asante Samuel was a 4th rounder, Tramon williams was an undrafted fa, ike taylor 4th rounder, courtland finnegan 7th round, so value can be had outside the first. But I think its probably the hardest position to find a stud outside the first round than any other position.

I don't think we need a stud, just some players that can be middle of the road. I also think less emphasis on cover zero may help. I was on WaPo and they were talking about a CB in Seattle that came from the CFL. They have good cover skills yet have 2nd tier 40 speed. Any thoughts on a Canadian invasion?

This is why I will not cry if we use our #2 pick next year on the secondary. At least we'll be trying.
