I have a pretty good idea, but I'm looking to confirm. It won't be a surprise

Well, Redskins have officially announced he's been place on IR so that's all the confirmation I need

Not all that surprising, bigger surprise is that he wasn't placed on IR before the season started.

Some of you know I was saying back in July he was a strong candidate for IR. Never could quite get healthy enough.

I still hear Royster may miss some time though. Week or two perhaps

I never knew that his achilles was that big of an issue. If it's a Landry type achilles thing, I hope Helu just gets the surgery asap and gets himself right. He's got a lot of football in front of him.

I think the answer here is Helu.

Just a wild guess though.

Why not just IR him?

edit. Just as I post this, I see your post above about him going to IR.

Funny how they signed Grant for just under 1.2 million, but wanted Portis to re-sign for the veteran minimum. I hope Grant is worth every penny.

There were few other suitors for Portis, but I am sure the Skins had to make a strong offer to Grant to peel him away from other teams.

No surprise. Helu hasn't looked right at all in these 3 games.

Sucks to hear Helu is ailing this early in his NFL career. He had some injuries in college (though I had forgotten that before), but so far this seems pretty serious. His workload last season wasn't that big, just under 700 yds I think, and it's like he's never recovered. Boo

What was the injury to Helu? I know he hasn't looked right but i haven't heard what was specifically wrong with him.
