i just open a new tab and press quote, then copy/paste that quote into the tab/post i am preparing to submit

But than you dont see who it was originally posted by? - Ill figure it out. Its going to kill my post count though and than I wont be as knowledgeable.

He means he copies the [ quote=punch it in;(random numbers)] part of the post as well as well as the end quote tag [/quote] (without the spaces in the quote tag)

If those are included, that will show as a normal quoted post.

yes, sorry, not a good explanation by me.

right-click "quote" in the post you wish to quote > open in new tab > copy all the text in the field > paste it in your original tab's field > repeat as necessary

i hope that clears it up
