I lived in Dallas for 9 years, and I am friends with many Cowboys fans. My general impression is that Romo is underrated by the fans, not overrated. I hear Cowboys fans often say how much Romo sucks, and I'm constantly reminding them what their team was like with Quincy Carter and Drew Bledsoe. During the time between Aikman and Romo the Cowboys were one of the worst teams in the league.

I think Romo is good, but not good enough to meet the media/public expectations.
