look at the crowd from a rock concert in the '80s, and then look at the crowd from a rock concert today. people have dialed it down from 11, all the way down to lame. they just don't get loud and go nuts like they used to, that's my take on it.

Re: Why aren't the Redskins winning at home?
I attended that Giants game in 2005 which was loud, but nowhere near as loud as the Giants game in '87, which I also attended, when the Skins came back from a 13 point halftime deficit to win. It was so loud when the Giants offense was on the field that I could not hear my brother shouting in my ear right next to me, and my ears were still ringing two days later. My hearing wasn't temporarily impaired after the great win in '05. All that said, yesterday's noise after RG3's signature TD run was as loud as I've ever heard FedEx on TV.

I would assume it is quite depressing for season ticket holders. Can you imagine going basically a whole season with no wins at every game you attend? The prices charged for tickets, food, drinks etc. lends itself to non fans or people who view the game as a status marking. 80% of the people in the stadium have no true passion for the team. Plus, the teams money is in the suites. Corporations buy these suites and hand tickets out as perks. How many people from these corporations truly like the Skins? fat tubs can wear nothing but paint on their tits, but no one can stand while the home defense is on the field, cool.

Re: Why aren't the Redskins winning at home?
The best Fed Ex Field win in Redskins history? The inaugural game in 1997 against the Cards. Michael Westbrook's acrobatic touchdown catch from Gus Frerotte in OT has to this point been the most thrilling Redskins victory at Fed Ex Field, although it was called Jack Kent Stadium at that time.

The team hasn't seen stability since Jack Kent Cooke died. If John Kent Cooke owned the team, the Redskins would have been contenders every year. This Redskins franchise has been in disarray since Snyder purchased it. Last edited by REDSKINS4ever; 10-11-2012 at 04:57 PM. |
