Re: Breaking it Down - Skins @ Giants
I had no idea Rocca's injury was anything serious. Too bad, cause he's also our holder. In related news, Nick Sundberg will likely return to practice next week

Nooooo. Not the Aussie Rock-a!
Weak puns aside, I feel like Sav Rocca is the best punter we've had in years. I think we started taking it for granted since he had an excellent season last year, but if he's out than once again who knows what will happen. |

Re: Breaking it Down - Skins @ Giants
Redskins corners Josh Wilson and DeAngelo Hall have to cover Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. Manning is fond of throwing the ball to Cruz who is one of the better wide outs in the NFL. As long as Cruz and Nicks can't get open the sack total on Manning will multiply.

umbrellas cover people from falling rain. sometimes it rains. the people who use umbrellas won't get as wet as the people who don't

I just read about Sav Rocca's injury in the Washington Post. Hopefully he won't be out long.

Re: Breaking it Down - Skins @ Giants
Not to be a downer...but I would be shocked if the Redskins beat the Giants.
So they beat the Vikings...a team a month ago that was expected to be 6-10 or so...we have lost to some average teams...yeah a win makes you feel good...but until we can beat a better team, we are in no position to be talking about leading the division...no way. We are not there yet guys, please be more realistic and patient. of course, I'd be thrilled to be wrong...I just don't see it. We don't have the secondary or Oline to play at a playoff game level yet...this will be a good measure of how long it will take us to truly compete. I just hope we don't crack with late turnovers, penalties, etc that are typical with rebuilding teams.

But if we would have lost to them it would have been because "The redskins are just not on the level of Minnesota" Instead we beat them by 2 scores BTW and its not a huge deal.

Re: Breaking it Down - Skins @ Giants
eh, honestly i never thought they were that good to begin with, i dont buy christian ponder as i've stated before... the defense is ok, front 7 mainly.. and a better 2ndary than ours... lack of weapons in the passing game, percy harvin is ok but as a #1 he lacks size and possession ability.. just really dont buy them at 4-1 and i think they caught SF sleeping... good win... good team effort... we need to play better to beat the giants sunday
