Re: Pimp That Product
My father-in-law gave me one ofthose green pans you see on the infomercials. It's amazing, seriously. I was expecting a light-weight thin piece of Chinese crap that wouldn't last past a few uses when I saw them on TV.
In reality, it's a very high-quality, well made, heavy little frying pan. You season it with vegetable oil once before the first use like you would a cast iron skillet. NOTHING sticks. If you would burn something, just run some water on it and give it a flick with the spatula and it's clean. The coating is amazing for cooking. I use it all of the time now and cleanup takes seconds...I run some water into it, add a squirt of dish soap and wipe it out with sponge or sometimes all it needs is a rinse and it's clean. I've used it about 20 times now and it looks brand new, not a scratch or stain. It really is the perfect pan...for just $20. Get one. Seriously. Orgreenic™ 10' Fry Pan - Bed Bath & Beyond The people complaining about sticking must not have prepped it right. Nothing sticks. There's one review saying it scratched with the use of a fork. Well, yeah. You don't use metal in ANY nonstick pan... Wooden or plastic spatulas only.I hope they make a bigger one or better yet, a square skillet.

I'll have to give it a try because our non stick stuff is getting a little dated. FYI: If you do not need to use dish soap I would avoid it as it can add an unwanted tast to the food. That's even more important with cast iron stuff. |

This pan is as slick as a freshly-waxed car.
