Really the only teams I compare against are in our division because that's who we competing directly with for a playoff spot. Right now, Eagles orgainization is in a free fall, Cowboys are completely lost, and the Giants are clutch but not consistent. The Skins are on the way up now that we have a franchise QB.

Why would I give a flying f*ck about the colts?

Shouldn't take a 3-13 season (3rd year in) to tell the gdamn ownership this is a loser regime. Anything less than 6-10 should be automatic.

Has there ever been a HC win less than 18 games over three years and keep his job in pro football? Seems impossible but who knows.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

“You will have to ask Dan Snyder that,” the coach bristled Monday. He leaned intensely over his lectern at his weekly news conference, his tanned complexion the usual beet-red, as if every corpuscle was racing to the skin’s surface. He scanned the room for perceived enemies.

On television, the 20-minute exchange between Shanahan and reporters who cover the team came across less as a postmortem after Washington’s third straight loss and more of a referendum on the My-Way-Mike era.

“If he feels like this team is going in the right direction, then you ask him not me,” Shanahan said. “I know I am going in the right direction.”

My word Shanny is a douchebag. I think at some point soon Dan's common sense will kick in and he'll kick Mike down the road. I can't imagine a more pathetic response from any coach, let alone in the NFL.

I'd like a new coaching staff because I want a new regime for us to bitch about from day one

It might if we were in the ****in mix, and not an uber disappointment all the time. Even with the NFCE ripe for the taking, we still are spinning our tires in the cellar. That is what fans are frustrated about, so instead of taking aim at the fans that expect more from a "Hall of fame coach" who has done absolutely nothing without John Elway, why not join on in? Its fun. And its the right thing to do.

Ummm excuse me Mike went to the playoffs since then which is almost like winning another SB because he played in the toughest division ever which science proves and all the idiots who talk about his win/loss record over the last three years can't see the big picture which is to say the rest of the teams in our division will get worse someday and then we can compete. I mean, pay the f*ck attention

Too Funny. We do need a change. Shanny ain't getting it done. If we are 6-10 or worse he should be fired. I know it would make it hard on RG3 but I think we would draw more interest because of him. We should also go back to a 4-3 defense.. it is easier to get lb's and cb's than true 3-4 NT. Rak, Kerrigan on the ends. Bowen,Cofield, Jenkens, Nield, Goldson as DT. Db's need a major overhaul. Linebackers need upgrade.

fair enough?
Even with the cap hit there were teams with less room than us.
RG-3 and Almo are better rite now than alot of veterans at their respective positions.
The Panthers were 1-6. I dont care what they are ranked or for that matter anyone. Our strength of schedule is faaaar from the toughest in the league.
Injuries are league wide. They are every year. Just that we have zero depth to mask them.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

You can have excellent depth everywhere. Certain injuries hurt more than others.

As far as strength of schedule for 2012...

Mattyk, that was from before the season. Thats so selective pulling that out. Just look at what happened during the first 5 weeks of the season.

Noone knew who the good teams were. The wrong teams were winning based on projections, power rankings, SOS, all that BS released before the season. If there was any year that BS strength of schedule that came out prior to the season has absolutely no relevance, its this year. You should know that. Lets pull a strength of schedule that has been taken after the first half of the year based on real play, rather than projections in July when teams rosters aren't even fully set yet. I guarantee you we wouldnt have among the most difficult in the league. Nowhere close. We are absolutely underachieving, injuries penalties options and all. JEEEZZZ.

If you can find an updated SOS feel free to post it. Bottom line is coming into the season our schedule was pretty tough on paper. Feel free to prove otherwise.
