His projected draft round varies from as high as 2nd to as low as 4th, according to the "draft guru" rankings I've seen. Most sites seem to see him going in the 3rd round, right now.

That said, there's no telling when he'll be picked. Each NFL team has its own draft board and decision making process.

Speaking of Safeties; here's how I would rate the safeties that we could get

1. Matt Elam
2. Bacarri Rambo
3. DJ Swearinger
4. Eric Reid
5. Phillip Thomas
6. Duke Williams
7. Shamarko Thomas
8. Ray Ray Armstrong
9. TJ McDonald
10. Shawn Williams

Nice list. Even a blind Hogette could find a safety in this draft class.

I like Tony Jefferson, even though his stock has fallen recently.

JJ Wilcox has size and skills but he seems to need to be developed. He might be a solid pick in a later round.

I suppose David Amerson will be drafted early as a CB but I really like the idea of him at FS as a pro. With his size (6-3, 205) and range, he could be outstanding at FS.

Terry Hawthorne is considered to be a CB but I like the idea of him as a pro SS. He has good size (6-0, 194) and speed (4.4) and he's a great tackler, IMO.

I might be the only guy around who's crazy enough to want to convert big, fast CB's into safeties.

Rambo (FS)
Duke Williams (FS)
Swearinger (FS potential)
Shamarko Thomas (SS)
Shawn Williams (SS)
Cody Davis (FS potential)

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects

They've shown more interest in Duke Williams than anyone else this off-season, including current NFL players.

They like Phillip Thomas a lot too, and Wilcox.

Late round sleeper could be Bradley McDougald

See I'm not too sold on this Wilcox guy. Phillip Thomas I like a lot but I gave Eric Reid the slight advantage over him since he play in the SEC and didn't suffer a major foot injury.

I've heard of McDougald w/ the Redskins before; he's a safety from Kansas. I wouldn't mind him late in the draft.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects

I would give our draft grade a T for Trill if we came away with Poyer in the second and Duke Williams/Phillip Thomas in the 3rd.

I'd like to have mathieu, but not till the 3rd at least.

Coming from the guy who said Cam Newton was the "best" QB prospect he had ever seen after his rookie season, so i take that with a grain of salt. By the way I would hate it if that was how our draft went.
