Franchise QB is a huge piece of the puzzle. The fact that way have that taken care of is a pretty big deal.

Yeah but we only took care of it cause we sucked so bad under Shanahans direction. He fooked up on Mcnabb, staked his reputation on Grossman and Beck, blew up the defense and made it the laughingstock of the league.
I cant believe we lost this game. The 4th down call with no passing option was a horrible call.I heard on skins radio after the game Shanahan saying time to start evaluating players, like he's given up on the season.I know hes gonna try to win games, but I dont want my head coach coming out and saying publicly its time to start evaluating players like the seasons lost
The lack of discipline on this team is horrendous, worst in the league.Theres so many things wrong with this team its depressing.

??

Does it really matter how or why, fact is we have RG3 who is a legit franchise QB. No need to apologize for it or make excuses. How bad would it be if we didn't have him to build around going forward?

When we win the Super Bowl in 2017, I'll give Shanny a hat tip for getting RG3 instead of Gabbert.

But seriously, lets focus on the moves they need to make to reach the level of a consistent playoff contender.

1) Defensive coordinator
2) FS/SS/CB/CB
3) RT
4) Luck (in terms of injuries)

I would still say we need to see more from RG3. Granted he's a rookie but he didn't play well today. He threw late, behind and high today. Meanwhile Luck is throwing for 400+ yards to wr's that I've never heard of against a good defesne. I'd like to see Kyle tone down the option stuff and really open things up.

Thing is RG3 is most effective with the option/play action stuff. As a pure drop back passer he still has work to do.

Defenses have made adjustments to it. I'm not saying get rid of it but we can't run QB sweeps down on the goaline. This isn't Baylor vs. SMU. We have to be able to do a 5-7 stop drop and be able to hit wr's. We didn't give up 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder to run option plays.

Yep,Lucks stock has risen tremendously and RG3's is on a downward spiral right now

Unfortunately, odds are (at this pace), RG3 will suffer a serious injury before we finish building around him. Gotta get all the pieces real soon for this thing to work.

Anger of the loss taken the wrong way.
