People were all over Spurrier when he got here with his florida offense, and we know how that turned out. I'm skeptical now for us ever getting a college coach again.

I think he was commenting on how you didn't think college coaches are successful, and he was talking about how our offense is similar to a college offense.

Even though besides the option play we run from time to time, it's nothing like a college offense. Although, I can see the misconception.

Ok well if thats the case, then all I have to say is that our 'college offense' will only work for so long, until the nfl stops it, which should be soon. Because gimmick offenses typically start to die down by the midway point of the season. Theres a reason the option isn't in the nfl.

Personally I think the option will never work.. The pitch option that is. I don't think the draw option with the pass or run to Morris will be stopped as easily as people think.

I don't think that part of the offense is gimmick. I think the Shanahans did a good job on installing that type of offense for RG3, and it's been super effective against everyone. Unless WR's are dropping passes of course.

The Redskins organization isn't bad. Just unfortunate. It's frustrating considering what could have been. The Redskins could be in the NFC east division lead if not for the defense breaking down and giving up a number of leads this year. I'm proud of what our offense has accomplished the first half of the season.

Realistically, the Redskins are a season away from prime time and could still compete if we are able turn the season around and enter the playoffs.
