If you are a Skins fan there is not much to complain about today about the team. Soak in the home blow out win over a division rival and just plain enjoy it. I am sure the Skins will have a bad game again this year don't worry Debbie Downers.

I would like to change my original response to Joe Redskins comment to "did u really have to go there today". Before this snowballs into something completely out of context and ruins a perfectly good day. If it hasnt already. Just for the record I believe the Skins and Pack win this week setting up a huge MNF showdown at fedex between us and the Giants. I also believe the Giants brutal remaining schedule opens up the door for a division crown and playoff run for the Skins. Been saying that for weeks. Ask Okie - i said we would win the division after the first Giants game - a loss - so no debbie downer in my house. No sir. No how.

Fair enough. I almost didn't post it, but after putting up with two weeks of anti-shanny rants, I admit I gave in to my darkside. The penalties issue was a legit question and one that we all probably have in the back of our minds.

At the same time, we beat the F'ing Eagles by a ton and, b/c of that, nothing will change the utter joy, albeit transitory, in my heart. HTTR.

(I like you Punch, really. One thing you should know about me though - if my post is less than a couple paragraphs long, I probably didn't think about it much )

Sarcasm makes the world go around. Just was surprised that he went to the Shanny comments in response to a simple question about penalties. Sorry. It gets old coming from both sides. I dont care about my post count or who likes me. My dog likes me. At least he has never said he does not so im fine.

If your dog could talk he'd probably make a snide remark right now.

Okay ... how's this: We won by 20+ points against a crappy team with a rookie QB that is imploding so it is indicative of nothing and, b/c of the poor play calling/execution on short yardage and the penalties, just highlighted our inability to compete against top flight NFL teams. We are still a bad team and are deluding ourselves on thinking anything else. Some of that blame has to fall on the Shanny's.

Maybe more accurate but not nearly as much fun.
I was actually thrilled with how the entire team rallied around Mike. Maybe that whole "evaluation" comment sparked a fire under their asses after all. Also, just for the record I never had a problem with that presser - thought the whole thing was taken out of context.
Sorry if my remark was over the top. It was my first post of the day and those voices were hungry.

lol - it's all good man. It probably was unneccessary on my part - but like I said, if we can't laugh now, when?

I have a cure for the voices - pie. It really works, do you have a favorite?

I knew you would get what I was saying - knew also you couldnt resist. I hadnt had my coffee yet and I have relatives staying with me that are about on my last nerve. The Shanny stuff put me over the top! Lol. HTTR. Great day. Cant wait for Dallas! Coupled with a Packers loss on Sunday and oh boy.

Re: Skins 31 Eagles 6

When the score was 24-6, I made the comment to my wife that "this is not over. It's the Redskins."

At 31-6, I started to feel good about the game.

I was watching with not one - not two - but three eagles fans. At 24-6 i was the one pacing. They were like dude whats wrong? I just said - guys ive seen this movie before and I really dont like the ending. With about 9 minutes left i realized that the Eagles were playing so freaking bad that even if we didnt get that illusive blowout win that we were going to get a win and relaxed alittle.

Gotta say that I cursed the TV when Shanny went for it on 4th down instead of taking the FG to go up 3 TDs. Such is the lot of a long time Skins fan, on pins and needles up 18 points with 9 minutes to go...
