Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread
Eli Manning Height: 6-4 Weight: 218
Robert Griffin III: Height: 6-2 Weight: 217 Brett Favre: Height: 6'2" Weight: 222 I get that Griffin takes hits, but 2 other qbs above with similar build had extremely long "injury free" streaks. Eli rarely takes hits, Favre though was hit fairly frequently in his time in the league, in fact in his first 10 years was sacked more than 25 times in 9 of them. Add in the protection given to qb's nowadays, and the whole hit issue seems like a bit of a red herring. Now of course, if he were to go down, a lot of people would be saying see!!!, but fact is every year quarterbacks go down. Brady has, Stafford has, Romo has been concussed several times I believe, Aikman left due to concussions. It is a brutal sport, and if teams know that the qb is dangerous, they will want to take as many hits on him as they get paid for (oops, I mean as they can). Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread
I would still lean towards the 223 lb stat from the combine. But going back to the topic, I don't see how his "style of play" which is pass first, and run if need be is gonna magically get him hurt.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread
I agree with the 223 part, but even at 217, he's not some scrawny pencil thin guy. My only point was Eli is 2 inches taller at the same listed weight, and Favre, the qb iron man, was the same height and basically the same weight. As Matty said, he will put bulk on in the offseasons and his frame certainly looks to support it.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread
Can anyone find and or post the pick of JPP on the sideline with his helmet sitting on his head where he just looks like he has no clue on what to do to stop Griff. It was at the end of the game but I can't find an image.
