It just popped into my head, but why didn't Griffin just serve the time while he was hurt? Instead of appealing it and dragging it out, why not just serve that suspension during that time he wasn't playing. I imagine that failed drug test came up some time ago.

Maybe it was a longer suspension? But yeah it doesn't make sense. They could have taking his paycheck away while he was hurt.
