I wouldn't put AD over Manning simply for the fact that the Vikings will most likely miss the playoffs. MVPs are generally not given to guys who miss the playoffs. Can you name me one MVP in the NFL that's won the award and missed the playoffs.

Manning will get it because 1) he was out a year and still beasting 2) He has a better record 3) His has the numbers to back it (better than Tom's)
His season performance has him in the MVP running, not just last night.

Manning has a slightly better QB rating but Brady has more yards, 1 less TD, but 4 less INTs.

They're both going to be in the conversation along with AP let's just say that.

I agree, both should be in the MVP running for the season. Just was hearing too much praise for Tom's work last night when in reality he was a big reason why they lost. (2 turnovers and not great completion %) Disagree with AD unless his team makes the playoffs.

Patriots were a 13-3 team last year. They are a 10-4 team as of now. (same players)

Denver was a 8 win team last year, and now a 11 win team (with 2 games to go). A potential +5 turnaround in the W-L margin by one player alone.

It's not even close...lol I think history has shown on two separate occasions which player means more to a team. Colts are the #1 pick in the draft without Manning, a SB contender with him. A Denver team that barely squeaks into the playoffs without Manning, is contending for home field advantage with Manning.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 15 Style

excited for adrian peterson, even if he doesn't get the record. he's had a great season, huge comeback from a torn acl not even a full year ago, yet.

emmitt smith averaged 81 yards/game
barry sanders about 100 yards/game
and adrian peterson, 98 yards/game

tds/game:
smith - 0.73
sanders - 0.65
peterson - 0.86

and smith's stats after 10 seasons:
13,963 yards
4.30 avg
136 tds*

compared to sanders' after 10 seasons:
15,269 yards
5.0 avg
99 tds*

*rushing tds

good stuff

He has a better record and arguably the softest schedule in the league. They played atlanta, Houston, and you guessed it - new england and lost them all. Manning is having an incredible bounce back year. Just incredible. He also has a much better defense than Brady. I could make an argument for either of them. I would really have to dissect the numbers if i actually had a vote. As for mvp's who miss the playoffs u may be rite, but personally i think thats a joke. If a guy plays on a team that is 8-8 or 9-7 but they would be 3-13 without him than that is a valuable player. Playoffs or not.
Edit: Brady has more yards and one less td. We will have to see how it all shakes out.

The hit looked like it broke. Its obviously not that bad but no doubt its probably torn a bit more than just stretched. The MRI was reported as being "All Clear" which indicates no tears.

After last week i say dress him but start KC against the Eagles and let him rest up for Dallas. Part of me wants him to be in a rythym though. We will just have to trust the medical staff and be happy we appear to have maybe the best backup qb in the league?

Personally, I like Cousins over Griff, so Im good with Cousins starting but like everyone else, Im a little nervous about RG3 situation and a little suspicious about the reports we are getting, they seem to be unrealistic compared to the actual way the hit appeared. Latest report says they will only play RG3 if 100%. If the injury was a mild sprain, he should be ready to go this week.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 15 Style

If he's medically cleared this week he's playing.

I think he was pretty close last week. He seemed to be moving pretty well in warm-ups.

I wouldn't be surprised if he sits this game as well.

What happened last year to the colts speaks volumes and volumes about Manning. Remember all the talk about him being an mvp candidate without even playing. Brady did beat him this year but Manning had the better game. Thing is the Broncos went to the second round last yr with freakin Tebow at qb so something tells me they were a pretty good team without Manning. Its really too close to call for them and AP. going to have alot to do with these final two games. Again though Denver plays in the worst division in football.

I agree it's the worst conference, but have you seen the AFC East? Miami, Buffalo, and the Jets

Not much better.
