What's funny about it? It's evident you (and others) are trolling at this point. Why you say?

We don't have answers, yet not a single one of you have acknowledge what I posted with any sincerity. Not one. Yet the evidence is OVERWHELMING that it plays a huge part in why we have mass murderers, yet...the answer is always......BAN THIS/REGULATE THAT.

How about we address the real problems at hand. Mental health and media. They play more of a factor here than do the availability of guns. These people are doing this merely for the attention it will bring to them once they are gone.

I actually very much agree with you. We have a cultural problem that promotes this behavior. I do strongly believe the amount of guns in this country is also indicative of this societal problem as well.

Certainly we need to get a better hold on the roles of mental health and the media in gun violence.

But it is also true that if we also take guns off of the streets, then people would be forced to find less lethal ways to seek "attention."

No, they will just find alternative lethal ways to seek attention.
There are so many ways to go about this I fail to see how you can predict they will be less lethal.
Tim McVeigh didnt need any firearms.

We're never taking all guns off the street. That's not gonna happen. How could we even do it?

I never said ALL guns. But Australia has already had a successful campaign of taking many guns off of the streets and their homicide rate plummeted. It can be done.

I disagree, not surprisingly. Guns are not going to magically disappear, we have to find a way to identify a potential abuser and stop them. It always seems that there are plenty of people after the fact that will attest to 'creepy eyes' or extremely anti-social behavior yet the amount of intervention by society in general and mental health professionals in particular is lacking.

There will always be a way to create a sensationalized event, using poison, explosives, even interfering with a freeway or railroad track.

If only we had Skynet's behavioral prediction model to help...... j/K

We've already tried that approach and, as a result, many people are dead.

We need a different approach.

I am not familiar with that exercise. When did that happen?
