I do not think that the blame rests on Rex. If you consider the players that he has had to work with on the offensive side of the ball it could have been much worse. His defense has kept that team in contention until last night. If anything the GM should be in the hot seat. They got their best offensive weapon off of waivers from Seattle (Edwards). He wasn't even starting up there. The Jets problems are in personnel not coaching. Some blame can be pinned on the OC as well, but not Rex.
As far as them getting Cousins from us, I would rather not. You need a solid backup in today's NFL. Look at Chicago this year and Indy last year. Griffen has been hurt twice and I do not see the hits slowing down. Cousins is an insurance policy.
As far as the Jets are concerned I believe that they should make a play for Alex Smith. He is a mature QB who has finally come into his own and they could probably get him for less than someone like Cousins if he were to be released. Vick might also be available so the Jets will not have to look hard for a better QB. Both are solid with an effective running game would benefit the team if you can protect them.
