He definitely didn't look like P Manning. He didn't have the 2nd gear we had seen earlier, but he still moved well enough to cause defenders to hesitate, and that is what makes the zone read plays effective. I also thought he scrambled pretty good, and Saturday he will be one week further removed.

I think he's just being cautious more than anything, and that brace has gotta be annoying too. When was the last time Manning ran for 60 yards in a game? lol |

I also think that knee brace is limiting him.

Break It Down, Wild-Card Weekend preview: Seattle’s secondary vs. RGIII | Audibles - SI.com
It'll be tough no doubt, and a healthy Robert Griffin III improves our chances

Seattle will be the biggest challenge since the bye, because they're the first healthy and dominant defense we face. It's a fascinating match up as the two rosters are very close talent-wise, and both teams believe they can win. I don't believe the Seahawks are the best playoff team from the NFC though.

On an unrelated note, wtf was up with the field? The it looked tore up before the game even started and looked like that slowed all runners a bit. Hopefully will be good to go by Sunday.

PFfft. JJ didn't even have all his seats in. Skins won't get a SB till weather is disregarded. The field isn't the issue.

Ok, well then can Synder hire someone from Augusta National to teach them how to grow grass?! How is it that other teams in cold weather locations have grass in December but the Skins don't?

Re: RG3 cleared to play (update)
I think it's the brace. Those braces really protect your knee, but when it comes to coming out of breaks and juking, it's pretty hard. Not only that, it is heavy, and as the game goes on, it really wears out your leg.

Re: RG3 cleared to play (update)
I sometimes wear a brace for running and I can't stand it. It definitely restricts your movement enough to annoy you. I'm sure they have that thing on fairly tight too. You can see he kinda runs with a little hitch in his step, no doubt it's the brace doing that.
It's supposed to be a 3-4 week recovery time, perhaps this week he can go with a sleeve vs the brace? Or maybe he'll just continue with the brace, I mean if he can run for 60 yards with it how much of an issue is it really? |
