Since Luck has a lot of come from behind wins in the 4th quarter, he gets a lot of bonus points for QBR.

Since each play is watched and graded, it is also somewhat subjective. Luck may have a lot of int's, but if the people grading the play deem it to be the WR's fault, Luck doesnt get knocked down (or very little) on QBR.
I understand that, but I don't get a +17 on penalties. what does luck do that causes such a big discrepancy between his penalty epa,16.1, and the next closest, P Manning at 12.4. I am thinking because he throws more paases he gets more pass interference calls, probably on 3rd and longs, but I don't know.

My bad, I wasnt specifically paying attention to the penalty part. But yeah, I would say you are right. I havent looked into it, but not only on 3rd downs, also probably some pass int's on a game winning drive or drives late in the 4th quarter of a close game. Not sure how many late hits hes had, but im sure those add in there as well.

It seems that QBR benefits a QB that plays a lot of close games, since that is where the better scores come from. I think a lot of Lucks score comes from 4th quarter games that are tied or very close, which seems to pretty much be all of Indy's games. Although I do like the fact that it penalizes garbage time stats though.
