Does anyone know Shanahan's record in these type of winner takes all games. I know Romo has a terrible record, and Garrett obviously had a big loss last year, but I don't have any idea how Shanahan has done in the past.

Mike Shanahan is a 2 time SB winning coach. He's won a lot of AFC west titles so he's been there before. His past experience will serve the Redskins well, I'm sure.

Well he won two of the biggest winner takes all games there are. Romo n Garrett sure havent.

Shanahan sure looks like a cocky SOB when he does his tv show. love it when we are winning that's for sure.

Obviously he has the SB rings to show he's been to the dance and won, but I was speaking more of last game of the season winner in loser out type situations. Not a critical question, as I definitely trust Shanahan , RG3 and Fletcher's leadership and presence over Garrett, Romo, and Ware.

Not sure if you meant this in seriousness, but even so I think it's a good opportunity to clarify. I (still) believe Mike's the arrogant SOB that many fans, players and business people say he is, just as the original poster indicated from listening to his show. And yeah, unless you win it all, that kind of arrogance makes you look like a dbag IMO. But I root for the dbag because he's our coach.

I think that's indeed different, and frankly more honest, than pretending Mike doesn't have the rep as an arrogant SOB, even as an egomaniac as some people who personally know him say.

Plenty of coaches have big egos, kinda comes with the territory.

I could really care less about what he's like as a person as long as he can coach, and he can, that's all that really matters.
