I think it's obvious that Arizona is trying to salvage the situation where Reid baited them into trading for Kolb. Although it might work out well, Reid would love to have Larry Fitzgerald as his weapon.

Actually the team who's missing out is San Diego. Reid will be a great fit at virtually any of the 7 vacancies. In fact hadn't thought about it before but Carolina might be even better for Reid then San Diego.

Personally I just want Reid in the AFC.

It would almost be like he never left Philly. Leaving one team with a shitty QB/OL to another team with a shitty QB/OL.

Guess Cards are trying to get the jump on the competition.

I agree. I would add that with all of the personal life turmoil that Reid has been through over the last few years, taking a break for a year and catching his breath would be a good idea. He is a human being after all.

Looks like he's bulling ahead and going to AZ anyway, though.

Reid from Philly to Arizona? Whisenhunt from Arizona to Buffalo? It really is a carousel

Something doesn't feel right, with teams making moves this early. Unless these plans were made far enough in advance that they already did their research and knew their guy beforehand (doubtful seeing as how Reid was under contract) it just feels like AZ is rushing to grab Reid.

He would be a great choice. Reid is the only fired coach that deserves another shot as a HC.

Re: Black Monday: NFL Coaches and Executives Carousel

I wouldn't have fired Whisenhunt in AZ. He took them to a super bowl. His QB is Kevin Kolb. Yes that is his/GM's mistake for getting him, but I would have just fired the GM. This team started off great then injuries hit the OL hard and the QB had zero time to throw. I would have given Whisenhunt another year to fix the team.

Also Andy Reid--although I agree he should take time off--maybe he knows that football is best for him to get his mind off of his sons death. I remember hearing Mike Shanahan saying that the time off he had from coaching was fun, but after a couple of months it got old, he got bored and his wife was telling him to get out of the house. Reid knows what he's doing. I think he would be great in San Diego, Arizona, and Cleveland.

The thing I'm most curious to see is where Chip Kelly ends up

ESPN said earlier that Cleveland wants saban really bad, I just don't see him being a great NFL head coach. Chip Kelly may stay at Oregon, they will offer him a great deal I'm sure but we'll see. I agree with Wiz he was good in Arizona.
