To clear this up, and to protect the franchise's most valuable asset, you remove that decision from Mike. This isn't overreacting. I thought about this last night, and wanted to sleep on it before saying this. I woke up feeling the same today as I did last night. Did they not look at RGIII after that roll-out when he hurt himself again? Is our medical team that incompetent or is our coach that stubborn?

Mike appears not competent enough to judge when to pull a player due to health issues, so simply take that away from him and leave the X's and O's.

It's either one of two things. Bad coaching decision or bad medical staff. The only way you find out is remove the choice from the coach and it continues, you know to replace your medical staff.
i completely agree with your post. i feel this should have bene done a few seasons ago. there is absolutly no reason a coach or player should have the final call on them playing. there are far too many factors that could cloud their judgement. hopefully this is something that can be addressed this offseason. if you are going to pay the best doctor in the country to be on your sidelines for games, why not take his advice and run with it??

anyone hear anything else on griff's knee? i know someone with the redskins, it's not a great source, but it's a source and they heard that its an acl? anyone know when the results will be announced?

I think everyone needs to calm down on this knee thing. It's a big deal cause we lost and he played poorly. It wasn't a big deal against Dallas, was it? A hurt RG3 was good enough to beat a lot of the teams during part of the win streak. It wasn't good enough to beat Seattle.

I dont think you can compare the 2.Dallas game RG3 was probably at 80%
After the rollout at the goalline where he reagravated it,he was around 35% and shouldnt have been in the game

He wasn't a hurt RG3in this game, he was a re-injured RG3, and it showed. Shanahan should have recognized it.

You literally slept on a post you wanted to post here and what the Skins need to do about RGIII's health. WOW! You live a charmed life I wish my only worries in life were a NFL football team and what to post on here.

Griffin knows how to rehab(done it once before), he was clearly trying to push through it. The biggest question will be how much he has learned about protecting himself, and only next season will let us know.

Just like Mike Vick, I think it's in his DNA to play the way he does.

Kory said he regrets trying to play yesterday. I don't think anything's been confirmed on Robert's knee.

My retort would be something along the lines - "Well, he's already kicked the Cowboys out of the playoffs and made Tony Romo cry. Anything else is gravy."
