Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
I completely disagree. I think we drafted him because was an exceptional passer that had the luxury of being able to run. I think we all can agree that the initial plan was to let RG3 run more as he's young and acclimating to the NFL, and as he grows, reduce his designed runs. My point is, I think we have to move up that timetable to make him the pocket passer he can and was eventually intended to be.

Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
I tend to agree with letting him run, but I think to compliment that ability he MUST develop his game as a pocket passer. He will slow down. If this doesn't than time will eventually. To last 10 plus years as a franchise quarterback RG3 will have to learn to be a pocket passer. We all know he has a rocket, good vision, accuracy, etc. He has all the tools, and to be sure his knee effected his game in many ways Sunday, but if he can't be a pocket passer w/o the threat of options, keepers, bootlegs, etc. than he will sizzle out early in his career. I am extremely confidant this young man will do that, but I hope he can stay out of the way of his ego. I think he will, he is obviously not himself right now, can we really blame him for being pissed?

If he doesn't learn from this that he needs to quit taking so many violent hits he never will.
I think he will adapt his style to accommodate this offense. He just seems to go flying whenever he is hit. I think he starts to control himself better by getting what he can while maintaing control. |

I expect with a year's worth of experience RGIII will have a better idea of what he needs to protect himself so he can have a long and healthy career. I also expect the Skins coaching staff will make the necessary adjustments.

Without a doubt RGIII's knee has surpassed the talk of the fiscal cliff and debt ceiling. It is easily the most talked about knee in the DMV if not the NFL.

The designed runs were already way down in the 2nd half of the season. Of course he's going to be more of a pocket passer in the future. But he's also a dynamic runner. It would be foolish to bottle that part of his game up completely.

I'm not saying dump the roll outs and bootlegs, I'm just saying use some caution with how we use this kid on designed runs. I don't think that's an unreasonable suggestion to mold this guy into the pocket passer he's meant to be. |

Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
Some of the more memorable hits he took were on broken plays. I feel as though most of the designed runs he was sliding or getting out of bounds. This may be due to the fact that when he runs, both designed and on broken plays there is a set goal. On a designed run he hits the goal and can get down or out of bounds. While on the broken plays to get to that goal yardage he runs more aggressively.

It's true, many say rivers hasn't been the same after his knee injury, but then again Tom Brady was great after. Guess it depends on the knee. Hopefully Griffin will be just fine
