2013 NFL playoffs -- Rob Gronkowski of New England Patriots to miss rest of postseason due to broken arm -- sources - ESPN Boston

Although Gronkowski had his forearm heavily wrapped, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said he did not regret allowing the star tight end to play.

"The doctors handle medical decisions," Belichick told reporters after the game.

Why isn't Belichick catching heat for playing Gronk after his injury, only to have him re-injure his arm?? Sounds like the coach was risking his player's health to win a playoff game, and Gronk had the injury to the same place & requiring a second surgery. Belichick should be investigated by the league... Let's call it arm-gate.

Because 3 months from now his arm will be fully healed with no long term consequences.

That and the fact they didn't spend 2 first rounders and a second on him.

And he is not a franchise quarterback or potential franchise quarterback.

Then why didnt Norv Turner take heat for letting Phillip Rivers play an entire game on a torn ACL?

Why didnt Jason Garrett or Andy Ried take heat for letting Romo and Vick play with broken ribs/punctured lungs?

Why didnt Mike Holmgren take heat for letting Brett Favre play with the litany of injuries he had over the years?

The media was having a huge Cowpuke-loving Romo orgy when he played with broken ribs. Also, don't forget Witten playing with a lacerated spleen.
