If we could do better than Smith, the Steelers would have pursued that guy instead of Smith. Our special teams play (especially coverage units) have been excellent for years. I would be surprised if we did not notice significant decline next year.

Obviously, Smith's love for Banks and Gano call into question is talent evaluation accumen. But you can't really question that he's a great ST coach .
