No comment on the ticket prices other than
by no means saying they have to build a new one right away, but to remove seats from your stadium because you can't fill it up, to then turn around 2 years later and raise prices??? that just doesnt add up to me

if danny boy wants to raise prices he better figure out a better way to get fans thru the gates in a timely manner, upgrade the turf, and update the pathetic excuse for a bathroom. and thats a minimum.

i dont see how you are relating removing seats to raising prices. if anything, removing seats means they HAVE to raise prices to get more revenue. Teams raising ticket prices is a normal part of business. Expenses go up, so prices go up too. Its a reality we have to accept, not just with Redskins ticket prices, but with everything.

While the improvements wouldn't hurt, let's be honest. If you had the same stadium and the Redskins from the Joe Gibbs 1 era, it would be legitimately sold out. Winning cures all.

What do you want him to do? Wall paper, add a pretty mirror, have candles burning.

Re: Redskins increase the price of tickets, parking at FedEx Field

I was discussing NFL ticket prices on another board with a guy who claimed that the NFL franchises were losing money because they were not able to sale out their stadiums. His solution was to down size every NFL stadium and raise the prices on the tickets. I felt that each franchise needed to offer something more for the "NFL experience" that fans supposedly have when they go to the games. It sounds like maybe what he suggested is what's starting to happen.

Think about it. Most of us have big screen, high definition TVs, so our NFL experience is pretty good in the comforts of our own homes. We have the best seat in the house, or we can stand and cheer, we don't have to pay huge prices for food and drink......almost no reason to go to games in person! So, maybe the ticket prices are the start of trying to recoup whatever lost value may have accrued in recent years - but I think that's just the start of it. I think there needs to be something so unique offered when you go to the games, that it would make the price worth it....other than watching your favorite team win of course.

Yea, and put in some nice granite tiles... But no that's not what I want, what I would like I'd to be able to follow the game while waiting in line for 10 minutes to piss. Is it that hard to throw a 20inch TV in there? All that's in there now is a muffled and unaudiable radio broadcast, which isn't even worth listening to in the first place.

Look I understand its a bussiness, but you take care of your clients. The redskins don't do that. They don't cater to the fans and there is no game day experience. Just think about going to a caps game, all the free crap they give out during breaks to keep the fans interactive through it the game. At fedex they just throw commercial after commercial at you.

In the end I am the only one to blame, because I love my team so much I'd put up with a lot to remain a season ticket holder. I think today broke the straw. I think I am going to reduce the amount of tickets I have and only go to a few games and sell the rest. And to someone that has only missed 3 home games in about a decade that's a pretty big deal.
