That was a random comment, I feel like the fact they cannot find replacements for Seymour, bruschi, law, mcginniest, mike v, Samuels, and Harrison has more to do with it then spygate. You have those players on one defense... That's a dynasty defense. There have been other coaches who did the same thing (Johnson in the Super Bowl against the bills) and other coaches who said it didn't make the difference between them winning Super Bowls, like cowher.

Why do it if it makes no difference? And how come we always seem to hear about the winning team doing it but not the losing team?

Do you expect Cowher to say it helped him win a SB? Of course he is going to say it made no difference, except when he finds someone taping his practices...

Cowher said that about the patriots when they played him in the afc championship games. Because some people said the pats might have been taping them as well. And no one is going to complain about losers. People hate teams that win and want to find reasons they win. Excuses...

My bad, I didnt realize Cowher was saying that from the perspective of the team it was happening to. I thought you were saying it was a more wide spread issue other than just the Patriots. I have to admit, im surprised he said it. Im of the belief that if it doesnt help, no one will do it. If people are doing it, they believe it gives them some sort of an advantage, even if only a tiny one.

A. The Saints screwed themselves by having the bounty program

B. The NFL is probably the most profitable and popular sport in the country
SPORTS CHART OF THE DAY: NFL Revenue Still Dwarfs Other Major Sports - Business Insider
NFL TV Ratings: Football Continues Its World Domination - SBNation.com

C. The 28 owners that voted to screw us over and the Cowpukes are to blame for the cap penalties

In the end, Goodell does the bidding of the owners. And unless the NFL's popularity and profitability drops; no one can say that the commish is doing a terrible job.

Roger? Is that you?!?
No seriously though. He is ruining the game changing it. And whether some of the previous points are true or not, he is way overpayed. All the commissioners are over paid but he especially is over paid.

1) How is he ruining the game?

2)Why is he overpaid?

We as fans and consumers of his product can say he's doing a terrible job. I think most of the fans don't think much of him and we already know what the players think.
