To me, it's unthinkable for the Skins to consider giving him a multi-year contract with bonuses or guaranteed money.

Like it or not, the best alternative may be to simply cut him. To me, that means the Skins will need to pick up a CB in FA and draft a good one, as well.

I think the most likely best case offer from the team is they split the $8M he's due this year over 2 years, basically giving him a one year extension.
