No. Stupid him for misleading in his tweet prior to making his article available. You can't read an unavailable article. There's a big difference in the meanings of those 2 words- will/could in this context.

It makes perfect sense. To say someone WILL do something leaves no other alternative. They are doing it regardless. To say someone WILL BE ABLE TO means they can if they want to. There is no definitive must do action associated with that. Will be able to does not mean they will absolutely do it.
Rich Tandler never once said they are making those cuts with 100% certainty, he said those cuts are available if they want to make them. There is a huge difference between the two. |
