I'm an Eli fan. The guy does not get the credit but he is one of the better QB's in the NFL. I'd take him in crunch time over his brother that is great but has a hard time when the big games come around.

How does he not get credit? A lot consider him elite even with his massive inconsistency. Btw, big bro was a terrible safety play from continuing in the playoffs with a win against the eventual SB champs. His defense in Indy was based on giving up less points than the offense could score. So if Indy could put up 50 a game, Indy always thought they would win 10 SB's by building a defense that gave up 48 a game. He has never had the defense that will shut down Tom Brady when needed, Eli has always had that.

The only reason Peyton has a SB ring was because of his D stepping up big when Peyton flounder in the playoffs. He threw 3 TDs and 7 Ints with a passer rating of 70 in the playoffs.

That doesnt answer the question as to how Eli doesnt get credit. Plus Eli's defense played lights out in their two SB runs. The only team to shut down Tom Brady one of those years. Eli could always be conservative and didnt need to score on 3 out of every 4 drives just to win a game.

Everyone seems to point at his so so play in the regular season and forget what he has done in the playoffs. Also in those two SB wins he has had to make the play to win. I agree his brother has had to carry the team to the playoffs but once they get ther he has problems. I gave you his poor stats when he won the SB and when they lost the SB he only had 1 TD and 1 int.

Looks like the Cardinals are about to release S Adrian Wilson. He's one player I've always liked, I would pursue him even if he's 33 hopefully to a cap friendly deal.

I point out his regular season play because of things like last year. His regular season play meant he wasnt playing in the playoffs. I also dispute that he had to make the play in both SB's. I will give him the Manningham one. While it was a beautiful catch, it was also an amazing throw. But the Tyree pass was not some special pass. He did a nice job of escaping the pressure in the first place, but the throw was just him chucking it down field. Tyree made the play. The fact is Eli has never had to make every play like Peyton has had to do if he wants to win. He finally gets a good defense and what did that defense do once in the playoffs, choked hard core.

As far as Peyton is concerned, I would choose several other QB's if I only had to choose for one game, the SB. That doesnt change that Peyton had to carry average at best teams when in Indy. Eli never had to carry an above average team with the best pass rush in the game, he just had to play his role and the team performed like a real team.

Come on he just chucked it down field? Your making my point. One of the best plays in SB history and the only credit you give him is chucking the ball down field. His brother would have gone down to avoid taking a hit like he normally does.
