with Alexander, I think if he wants to test FA that's fine. He's been a great Redskin and I hate to see him go, but that's what scouts get paid to find--the late round / undrafted hungry ballers.
Lets keep in mind that the Skins gave him every opportunity to hang around, how many teams would cut him when it was clear he wasn't going to become a starter on the line? or at the next spot? or the next? It seems like a case to me where if he stays great, if not its a chance for the next guy to shine. |

5 yr/14 mil for our starting LG is pretty cap friendly IMO.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013
One of the tweeters on the Redskinstweet page that is listed on page 4 of the thread (snide remarks was close to his name) stated that it was not a 2yr void able contract. I have no idea who he is or if he has good info.

I agree with you & think he will test the waters & find out that he isn't going to garner much interest. In the end he will sign for three more years with a slight pay increase. |

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013
I don't know which article I read that had those. Maybe I am wrong, but that seems (if those are in fact the #) fair to both the team and player.

Maybe 65-35 in favor. Both want to get it done. RT @RackEmWillee: What about Fred Davis? Chance of seeing him back in burgundy and gold? |

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013
I like that we are working on locking up the offensive players that took us so far this year. Jax back in the fold is important, but the defense is going to need more outside help and that appears to be what we are trending towards.

I hope they get the deal done. Davis can create havoc for defenses & open up the game for other players on offense.
