Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013

toler cox or smith are more likely than talib i'd think. I wouldn't be too mad over signing harris either (at which point polumbus probably has to find another home).

then sign davis, find some DBs in the draft and call it a day. there's just not very much money. we still might have to let moss go (or at least restructure). to even make that happen.

When it comes down to improving our secondary this year, still better options in the draft than free agency. Even if we dont splash, there is still hope of finding 2 starters in the secondary through our draft this year. Folks thats without a 1st round pick.

Talib could happen today.

I'm happier about the Davis update.

As long as Talib stays on the field and out of trouble...upgrade over Hall. He and Wilson will be a solid combo with Minnifield hopefully coming back earn to the nickel spot.

Now we just need safeties.

Sounds good if they can do both. But is TK@TKextremes a reputable source?

Redskins still in mix for Alexander but will face significant competition

Could be smoke, but apparently Zo has some serious interest from around the league.

I dont really understand "restructuring" moss. 2013 was the last year of his deal, so i dont see how you can restructure that. You can only EXTEND it with a new contract. I love Moss, but I dont understand why we'd extend a 33 year old receiver when we have good, cheap depth at the position and greater needs at other areas of the team.

Apparently they converted salary to attainable incentives so he can earn all or most of it back fairly easily. No extension.

And attainable incentives dont count against the cap... nice. I hadnt considered that as a means to fee up space. We should do this with alot more players - but then the league would probably penalize us for violating the spirit of the cap.
