My feeling is that Shanny is hoping Comptom will be our RT but of course, he won't go there without any insurance, hence Trueblood and Pahos.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013

So we have rookie to compete/start off as the starter.

We have a guy who when he last played had a good year, then tore a ligament in his foot which caused him to miss the entire 2012 season. And we're trusting a guy who had this kind of surgery to back up or start at RT.

Then we have Jeremy Trueblood as another backup, who only started 1 game last year and played in 9 after being demoted as a starter by Demar Dotson (who? Actually they said he played pretty well last year at PFF). PFF did say this about Trueblood:

"5. Jeremy Trueblood, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2012 Cap Hit: $4.2m
2012 Performance Based Value: $800k
Value Differential: -$3.4m

We’ve been long time critics of Trueblood’s poor play in Tampa Bay, with several seasons of struggles contributing to this. With that in mind it’s probably a good thing that he was on the field for just 82 snaps in 2012, with Demar Dotson playing much better than him upon cracking the starting lineup. Still 82 snaps isn’t enough value to get out of a contract that high, especially with the Buccaneers being a better team with Trueblood out of the lineup."

Something tells me that once again the Redskins biggest needs will still be DB and RT after the season (even after the draft).

That photo is from more than a year ago. People heal. And Pashos was pretty good before he got hurt.

As for Demar Dotson, I know him personally. Besides having a great deal of natural athletic talent (he played both hoops and football at Southern Miss), he is relatively smart and has a mature seriousness about him. I am not surprised that Tampa is enamored with him, regardless of Trueblood's play.

As far as needing to fix our DB's and RT next year, of course that will be the case. There is no way to acquire franchise starters with our budget.

I'm with u on this one lotus, he's nothing special and is why u don't see teams knocking at his door, apparently not even us and we literally have SS, Matty, you and I playing in our secondary

I guess nobody has had surgery before?

Good thing we can't see RGIII's knees. Everyone would be slitting their wrists.

RGIII'S knees are the pure image of perfection. One cannot approach them without a veil over their eyes and having purified your heart by bringing Art Monks jersey to lay down before them so that you kneel on hallowed ground. Perhaps you might see visions of the pureness of his knees in a burning effigy of roger staubach. Now, Matty for your blaspehemy of RGIII's knees, go say 3 hail joe gibbs.

I saw RGIII's knees in my taco bell burrito. It was a miracle. The place is now a shrine.

When I see Pashos injury and read about it, I get the feeling we signed 2008 Jon Jansen
