Another question- to do the P90X in your home, what kind of equipment do you need to buy?

I wouldn't mind giving myself a new challenge with workouts, but I love my current routine(s), and it works great for me. But I'm always up for something new.

I think Power 90 would not be much of a challenge for you. They are all degrees of difficult, I say P90x, is your speed.

Power 90 = good for beginners for a tune up before doing the X

Power 90 Masters = intermediate, or for maintenance after the X

P90X = "extreme" home fitness training

As for equipment all you need is a few sets of dumbells, or the adjustable ones. A mat for yoga, pull-up bar for the X, and that's about it.

I've tried copying the discs so my wife could take them on the road, but for some reason they never work, not sure if it's my burner or what.

Probably copyright protection. I have software to take care of that.

You know, for making my own backups and archival purposes. :cheeky-sm

Re: P90x

Yeah I've got software too to break the protection but for some reason these discs just won't copy right.

Re: P90x

A friend of mine copied my dvd's with no problem, but hes pretty good with them computers. I will see if i can figure it out, but ive actually never used my dvd burner or have ever held a burnable dvd in my hands before. I watch less movies then anyone i know.

Is your finger better? Also didnt you break your arm from lifting before? When are you trying to start?

Also i know a lot of people that go to bittorrent.com for movies and stuff, i would bet theyre avialable there.

Re: P90x

No, broke the arm at work 2 years ago, fell on a freshly-mopped floor (no warning) while carrying 2 boxes weighing a little over 70 pounds. Boxes came down on arm that just nailed the floor...it didn't have a chance. Had to get a plate and screws to fix it and then there was some legal "activity".

Finger is buddy taped. Feeling a little better, still missing some range of motion too but they said it could take a couple of weeks.

So, won't be doing P90X for a little while anyways.

Getting old blows...I work out all the time...when I don't get stupid injuries.

Re: P90x

Did you have a comp claim Buster? Not sure about PA laws, but in NY that injury is worth some $$.

Re: P90x

5 days into the X now, it's definitely a quality workout program. I'm glad I worked up to it, because as much as it's kicking my butt, it would be much worse if I dove in head first without having a decent baseline to start from.

Think I broke one of my toes last night though, not from the X, just stubbed the ever loving crap outta it. It's swollen and bruised up today, definitely feels broke. Just hope it doesn't hinder me too much. I think I can push through, it's just annoying type of pain, nothing major.

I hadnt touched a weight in about 10 years when i started p90x and felt soreness i didnt think was possible, espicially in my hips. Keep us updated on how it goes.

Also are you using weights or bands or both?

Re: P90x

Can you move it? If so, it's probably not busted.
