Witten is the best tight end in football and will have another monster year if healthy. Getting rid of Owens was the best thing Dallas could have done. |

a list of teams that have made it known to them through "league sources" that they have no interest in Owens. As of right now, that list includes: The Dallas Cowboys. The New York Giants. The Washington Redskins. The Baltimore Ravens. The San Francisco 49ers. The Minnesota Vikings. The Atlanta Falcons. The Cleveland Browns |

Wade & Garrett should be next......never mind as long as those two our on board they are going nowhere! COWBOYS OFFICIALLY DUMP OWENS, WILLIAMS Posted by Mike Florio on March 5, 2009, 4:52 p.m. The Dallas Cowboys finally have formalized the release of receiver Terrell Owens and safety Roy Williams. “Terrell Owens was a very productive player who performed at a very high level for all three of his years here in Dallas,” said owner Jerry Jones. “But we have made a decision to move forward without him. “In the aftermath of the season, we talked about change. Some of what is changing involves the process and some of it involves people. “This is a decision that was made based upon consideration for an entire team. We will move on now with a new team — a new attitude — and into a new stadium. The evaluation process and the prospect for change will continue at every level of the organization.” In those 105 words, Jones said plenty. He essentially admitted that all of the stories about dissension in the locker room were true, even though he had said they’re false. He also has acknowledged that significant change is needed. So why hasn’t he fired the head coach? Jones’ comments contradict the notion that he has been out of touch when it comes to the state of his team. The fact that he has not engaged in sweeping change, then, reinforces our suspicion that the combination of a sagging economy and the opening of a billion-dollar stadium might have prompted Jones to avoid the cost of buying out Wade Phillips (and the highly-compensated Jason Garrett) and then hiring their replacements.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
Huh, your right. Maybe McNabb wants him. I agree no NFC EAST for Owens. I was actually looking forward to watching Hall shut him down. Oh well.

T.O.? THE ANSWER IS NO. | Philadelphia Inquirer | 03/05/2009 Posted by Mike Florio on March 5, 2009, 11:17 a.m. EST As we’re doing with Mike Vick, we’ll be keeping a running tally of all of the teams that have said ”thanks” followed immediately by “no thanks” to the possibility of signing receiver Terrell Owens. Please note that this only reflects teams that already have said that they’re not interested: The Dallas Cowboys. (Duh.) The New York Giants. The Washington Redskins. The Baltimore Ravens. The San Francisco 49ers. The Minnesota Vikings. The Atlanta Falcons. The Cleveland Browns. The San Diego Chargers. The Philadelphia Eagles. The New York Jets. The Tennessee Titans. The St. Louis Rams. Here are the teams that likely will join the list soon: The Miami Dolphins.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
This is a guy who epitomizes the "me first" attitude I despise in any sport. His "antics" are more annoying and childish than entertaining to me but then again I come from a time when football was about the hogs and Riggins and Roger Craig and Ronnie Lott. A clown like "to" would have been just bitch slapped by players like Lott, Manley, Mark Murphy, Fencik etc. In today's NFL, he can't be touched.

Pittsburgh is simply way too classy of an organization to ever have TO. He'd probably get his ass kicked in their locker room during his first week with the team. For them, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Limas Sweed is an up-and-comer, plus they have Holmes and Ward.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
Williams is talented but I don't know about a monster year. Cooley is as good as Witten if not better. IMO.

I really don't see Dallas as a competitive team this year. I think i've said here before in my view Choko Romo will slide into mediocrity as time passes... i think he'll be more or less mediocre this year. Everything was fun and games for this guy in the beginning but massive pressure has been building and will only build more and if his history under pressure is any indication things will only get worse...
