Well if I was growing pot in my house and the cops came knocking and asked if I was grown pot I sure wouldn't say, "Yea, come on in and check them out".

People keep confusing the difference between Haynesworth's actions and Leonard Little's (though I agree he should have been banned for a significant amount of time) with Vick's as humans vs. animals. But that's not what it's about, what Vick did was premeditated. He didn't act out of sudden impulse like Haynesworth when he stomped Gurode.
Well if you really want to talk about Haynesworth there is some more about his past that is not really good. He stopmped or tried to stomp on his own teammate in practice while playing for the Titans. He also got in a fight in college w/ a teammate and left and came back with a pole or a bat. So this guy has some serious anger issues. But hey we all do things we regret and when he slams Tony Romo in the ground are we going to be thinking about any of this? No. If we signed Vick I wouldn't care one way or another. God knows we need more players to help us score more points. But it's not going to happen here.

Maybe the worst part of any "premeditated" actions Vick did was bank rolling an organized crime ring for a couple of years. I'm not saying that if he actually killed dogs that's less, but it's pretty hard to make excuses for involvement in such a venture for that long a period.

Re: Vick conditionally reinstated by NFL (updated)

What would it hurt to bring him and take a look? See where he is. We can always cut him by the beginning of the season and not have to pay him a penny. See if the guy can even still throw a football. I don't think we will, but it would be right by the team to do at least a little do diligence on him. Maybe bring him in for a workout. Do we really think JC is our guy? The FO doesn't. I don't know if Jason can play fast enough for the West Coast offense.

There could be alot of upside to Vick. Or he could have lost it after spending 18 months in a federal "pound you in the ass prison". Who knows. If he came here I'd deal with it and let the team decide if he can still play football.

I don't get the feeling we will pick up Vick, but if you are going on Cerrato's record for everytime he said no ....we are screwed. Countless time he has said "No" in regards to the Skins having interest or picking up a player only to find out the team looked into, spoke with, or actually picked up after he said no.

Also, for those who keep saying he will not up grade certain teams...I believe you are wrong. I know he probably would love to be the starter but at this point in the yr most teams are if nothing else would be looking into having him as a back up role in case their #1 QB were to get injured. You can't tell me he's not better then most of the #2's on those teams. Heck I think MV is better then Collins athletically, but Collins knows the players, knows the play calls which in my book is a huge plus for Collins. If MV is brought in he has to learn the offense, play calls and maybe even learn how to throw according to some of you.

I think "if" the Skins brought him in it would have something to due with who is his agent? (hopefully not Rosenhause) and simply letting him get playing time so teams can see what he's got which seems like a big waist of time for the Skins considering we are still looking at Colt and want to see what Daniels offers. What playing time would he get and when would he get any chance to practice.....especially with the first team offense?

The only other reason would be cause DS has a hard on for him. Which also has happened in the past.

Yeah I get that, but in this case I believe he's being honest. Vick doesn't make much sense here to begin with.

Re: Vick conditionally reinstated by NFL (updated)

Oh man my computer screwed up again. Had this nice long written message and for what ever reason....computer froze. Failed to send. LoL. UUUHHHGGG.

Anyway this was a summary....ExtremeSkins has a blog about someone having seen MV in the Ashburn area.
PFT: Skins/Vick AND Tanner Cooley's twitter and FB: Mike Vick was in Ashburn today. - EXTREMESKINS.com

My only issue is MV is a native of southern Virginia not northern Virginia. He would have passed a ton of decent eating places in Norfolk (where he grew up) and Richmond, as well as simply eating in Fairfax off of 95. Why would he go out of his way? To simply make other teams think he was visiting the Skins so he can generate some interest? or did he meat with a team official?

Just trying to stir the pot.

Aren't him and D. Hall buddies? Maybe his agent was in the area, he has the same agent as Campbell.

When Zorn says no Wildcat, Cerrato says "No", and the reliable talking heads, John Clayton etc. have the Skins as "No way". I'm not worried about it. Vick doesn't fit what Zorn's trying to do at all. Quick reads, quick release, accuracy, none of these are qualities Vick has ever had. I'd put any of our back-ups (even Brennan, LOL) in long before Vick.

Re: Vick conditionally reinstated by NFL (updated)

The only good news is someone on page 19 says Adam Schefter says several teams do not want MV and the Skins were named. He will be a constant rumor until he gets signed elswhere. So I guess we shall see. At least our attention is being taken away from Favre. LOL.

Re: Vick conditionally reinstated by NFL (updated)

I'm glad as it appears the SKINS have zero interest in this clown.

I could only imagine what this would do to camp (or the circus show that would follow) or JC's last chance to prove himself.
