Re: Heyer Injured
Two consecutive years now, Heyer's been an above average RT. I think we forget that because last year he was so ungodly disasterous on the left side, that we judged his abilities early. But the biggest problem is that he just looked like a RT on the left side. His footwork was terrible. He's never had that problem on the right side.
Of course, the interior line is the cause of concern. There's Thomas, and who knows what we can get out of him the rest of his career. There's Rabach, and we know perfectly well what we're getting out of him the rest of his career. And Dockery, well, the last time he was here, Rabach and Thomas were quality offensive lineman. He's still the best out of the three, but best case scenario, we get our money's worth when he does an adequate job filling into Pete Kendall's shoes. Outside of a nice half season from Fabini in 2007, and a good game or two from Mike Pucillo and Rabach here and there, the last time we had a decent C or RG was 2006. Tackle might be the least of the lines concerns, especially since Samuels seems to be back in top form.

Re: Heyer Injured
That's a good question, but I personally would have kept Heyer in there and I think Jansens play proves my point.

Re: Heyer Injured
To answer the question on whether or not the Redskins had a better offseason than the Giants entirely depends on whether you penalize the Redskins for the moves they almost made. Because while the Redskins were being derided for flirting with their non-existant QB problem, the Giants were improving defensively. But the Redskins also improved defensively, and probably as much if not more.

Re: Heyer Injured
In my opinion, coggs, the Giants have the best defense in the division followed by the Redskins, Eagles, and then Cowboys.
The only thing that could possibly prevent the Redskins defense from being top five is if they misuse their personnel. Same with the Giants. I think the Giants have the better offense right now, by virtue of being the top offense last year. But I think the Redskins are bound to make a big jump offensively, and unless the Giants offense stays right where it established itself last year, I think the Redskins might have the better offense. As for special teams, our punters' nickname is Hunter the Punter. How cool is that? You have the better power ranking, but we play Detroit and St. Louis while you play Arizona and Minnesota. Could be an interesting finish, given that schedule quirk.

nothing concrete, just always had the impression that he was a bit of jack-off.

Re: Heyer Injured
I actually heard rumors that the Giant players tried to get frisky with other players while at the bottom of a big pile up. At first I did not think it was true but maybe the story has legs. I also heard that the coaches have restricted players from picking up the soap while taking a shower.

Re: Heyer Injured
I love the abuse of coggs but The Giants won the Super Bowl a few years ago. They beat one of the best teams of all time in that game. Their defense held down the best offense of all time. That team the Giants beat happened to beat the living shit out of us fifty something to 7.... and that game sent our fan base in an up roar cause Belichick didn't call off the dogs. The Giants have been better than us the last few years. We really shouldn't be talking too much smack.

Re: Heyer Injured
I'm with the program. But I'm going to leave NYG fans alone. I don't know about any of you but I'm a little nervous about what their d-line is going to do to our O-line in that first game. They've got Osi back too?

Re: Heyer Injured
Hell Yayah! I agree with what you said about their SB year skinsfan69. And for the first time in my life I was pulling for them. But if a rival wants to come on here and talk smack and expect us to lay down about it....it ain't happening.
