Locker's numbers don't jump out at you this season and his two picks last week didn't help (but Oregon is on fire right now). Remember, this UW squad probably has the worst talent in the Pac-10 (aside from Wazzou) and they were coming off a 15 game losing streak before this year. I've seen a shorter delivery and improved field vision this season, with his work with Steve Clarkson (one of the best QB coaches out there).

Pete Carroll says he's the best QB he's ever faced at SC... that includes Aaron Rodgers, Dennis Dixon and Vince Young. Unlike Tebow, I think he's more than a glorified full-back... and he'll have a better pro career, imo.

With the game Collaro had the other day, I'm starting to think the real star out of Cincy might just be Brian Kelley...Brian Kelley should be our next head coach!

I watched 1 game, and I was certainly impressed, but I can't comment further if he's just another rick mirer, or ryan leaf at this point.

At this point, we're going to be rebuilding for 2-3 years so we'd be better off trading down and accumulating depth accross our roster instead of adding one spashly player at the top of the first round. From what I read, next years draft is pretty deep overall. I say we take advantage of it and accumulate as many picks in rounds 2-4 as possible.
In theory I agree with you. However, I seriously doubt we'll find a team willing to trade into the top 5 for our pick. The amount you have to give up and the price you have to pay for the player prohibits anything about 12ish being very trade able.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?

Bradford has a suspect shoulder now though. IF Stoops rushes the kid back in to save a BCS bid and he gets racked against say Nebraska it could be career over before it starts. Hell A&M beat the hell out of Tech last weekend, so now you have another team to worry about there possibly. I still say draft a guy under the radar. Those guys have a better shot at being something in the NFL if recent draft history matters. I have said this in previous threads. Both Tebow and Bradford play on superteams with really only maybe 2-3 teams on the schedule that have a chance to compete with them. When they come to the NFL the teams are pretty much evenly gunned, with the exception of the bottom feeders. You put those guys on a crummy team, they will fold. Can't really lose when your team is averaging over 300 yards rushing. You must have one helluva line. Bradford plays in a conference not really known for defense, so what is going to happen when he comes to a level of play where D is all important to winning and evenly matched in terms of speed with the offenses?

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?

I know this might be dumb...but what if we pulled a Ditka and gave away all our draft picks for someone like Peyton Manning? Would they even do it? Before you say no to the idea, keep in mind we will likely have an uncapped year and won't need the picks since we can go buck wild on free agents, our FO specialty. Bring Peyton in and let him pick which WR's he wants to work with. Of course this is a pipe dream, but do you think that would even be possible? Would you even do it?
(for the record, for the best QB of all time, I'd do it. Peyton is the best ever, or damn close to best ever.)

Jay, Peyton would get destroyed with our line in its present form. Samuels is probably going to retire also, maybe followed by Thomas. We also don't have the organization, or the top talent he has in Indy. He would give us a few more wins, but not a Lombardi trophy.

Peyton knows when to get rid of it, and he knows where all his wr's are at that very time. He's not afraid to let the ball fly after holding it for 1 second. I know it's a pipe dream, and I certainly have a man crush on peyton...but come on, you wouldn't give up all the picks next year for him? Especially knowing we will likely be uncapped?

Nope for the simple fact that he is going to take punishment and he is 34 years old. I would like us to get a potential young Peyton Manning so we can enjoy a nice stretch of good football.

May I ask if you are High???????? LOL No way Indy would let Peyton go, plus we can't trade an entire draft for a 34 yr old QB.

LOL...just throwing it out there. Peyton still has 5 good years left in him. The Colts might do it due to his age...and we are dumb enough to offer it. HAHA

Maybe we can give the Colts all of our draft picks for the next ten years and just swap teams.
