I get what you're saying if you're combining the three years together, one in NO & two in Pitts. My bad, I understand what you mean.

We need to hire a DC that plays racketball so Dan won't miss Vinny!

If he plays an attacking style of defense and is willing to use Haynesworth properly then I say we go for it.

If Gray brings a new philosophy in than great. If he tries to plug guys into roles they don't fit into because he won't build a scheme around what he has, I will vomit, loudly.

Does Crennel have any experience with the 4-3 and/or any connection with Shanahan? I think if the team was looking at him at all we would have heard something.

I guess I wouldn't mind Romeo or Haslett coming in here and implementing a 3-4/4-3 hybrid defense like the one the cardinals had the year they went to the super bowl.

Alex Gibbs joins new Seattle Seahawks staff - ESPN

Scratch him off the list. Besides, hasn't Bugel ran zone blocking here?

Interesting that we - so far - don't see MS/BA throwing money around to get the people they supposedly want, I wonder if it's patience, or just not settled on who they want, or if they can't for some reason attract them. I know it's only been a few days, but certainly the old style was to get them in as quickly as they could and offer a bunch of cash.

And last week Shanny said that he was hoping to get his staff assembled by Wednesday 1/13. It looks like that is not going to happen.

I thought he gave himself 2 weeks, I didn't realize he was trying to have it complete by tomorrow. I would think we ought to see a DC named soon then.

He obviously is not going to have a complete staff on 1/13 but this is where I got that date (see near the end):
