Re: The 10 Commandments For Drinking Like A Man
If you're gonna drink fortified wine, MD is not the way to go. A good port is much better. Man, I used to drink Strawberry Rose Mad Dog (I think that's what it was called) my senior year of high school. One of those bottles and I was so buzzed!! Those were the days. All of us guys who played football would drink a bottle each in the parking lot before the basketball games and then go cheer on our buddies. Good times.

I remember one friend and I would always recommend md for people and they'd have a sip or two and not be able to stand it.. so we always got the free bottles and they stayed sober.. like a buy 1 get 1 free deal love port.. there's this one made in VA.. Horton Vineyards.. I love that stuff, haven't had a lot of ports though.. if you see it let me know what you think I always got it at the VA ABC stores, not really sure how widely it's distributed |

I've actually never had a Viognier as I don't really do a lot of white wine, but I've heard some good stuff I'll check out those ports when I'm in the mood for one |

Re: The 10 Commandments For Drinking Like A Man
all kidding aside, i'm 36 and have not vomited since i was 18. that last time i threw up was from drinking two bottles of md 20/20, it was either grape or orange(can't remember). that was one of the worst nights of my life, the entire room started spinning and nothing would stop it, then.....:vomit:. i didn't start to feel better until late the next evening.

Screw all that. The best thing you can drink in my opinion, is shine with apple juice and a cinnamon stick. Let it sit for a few years and pow, it will knock you on your ass. You wouldn't even taste the alcohol and the apple juice takes away the burning. 25$ a big mason jar all day long.

Re: The 10 Commandments For Drinking Like A Man
Seriously, I'm 26 and man some nights I can only have a few and wake up shitty, but recover quickly. Seems it depends if I get the bad ones or not. Recently I have a lot but last weekend I felt fine as soon as I got up.

Re: The 10 Commandments For Drinking Like A Man
drank shine in HS quite a bit
my dealer's dealer was an English teacher that shared a mutual dislike for each other with me's husband.. so I managed to hold it over her head and pretty much stayed out of trouble Last edited by tryfuhl; 04-02-2010 at 06:47 PM. |

Damn! The teacher was hustling shine? The teachers these days are screwing the students too! What effing high schools did y'all go to? It must be great being a kid these days. Someone needs to smack those EMO kids.

Re: The 10 Commandments For Drinking Like A Man
Bumping an old thread, but I'm trying to improve my scotch/whiskey/bourbon (primarily scotch) stock.
So...what should I always have stocked in my bar...and how should I drink it?
