Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?
In 09 he was 71st on that list. Not shocking really. I tried to find a clip of when Heyer never even got out of his stance, but I guess it was so bad that youtube doesn't have it.

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?
Heyer shouldn't even be on a practice squad, the way he played last year. Cut his ASS.

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?
To all who are Gaither fans, I found this in an article on the SFChronicle. Maybe this is why teams are not jumping on a trade for him
Here's a teaser: The draft is really the only place to land a tackle. Yes, another former Terp Jared Gaither is reportedly available for a second-round choice from the Ravens. But the word around the league is that the mammoth Gaither (6-9, 340) doesn't love the game, rarely works out, and wouldn't fit into a Mike Singletary-coached team. At the end of the day, if he was a fiery talented competitor that was passionate about playing, and had nothing but upside, I dont care who else they have on their roster. They wouldn't be shopping the guy. We should know he is not in their long term plans for a reason, and that is a HUGE red flag, literally. Hopefully, our coaches have seen this, and that is why there are no real reports of interest. Hopefully. |

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?
He can be talented but if his heart is not in it, then what a shame.

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?
Just a one year deal for Flozell. No problem with that. Would prefer to keep Levi Jones and draft an OT.

Re: Flozell Adams at right tackle?
Even if Okung makes it to us, we draft him and he is our best tackle going into the season, I still think we need a veteran left tackle on the roster. We at least need a veteran for RT even if we draft another tackle with 4th or later.
I would not feel comfortable with two rookie tackles on opening day. |

Gotcha. My point is that Heyer is not a starting tackle. He may be good enough to fill in for multiple games but he cannot be counted on to start and finish a season. If you went into the playoffs with him you better be able to leave your left tackle on an island because you are going to have to give Heyer help consistently if you expect to have a chance to beat any good team. |
