Probably Haynesworth if one of the Williamses retires (I forgot which one is getting up there in age).

Rice would help but not for any draft picks

I'd easily take a 4th rounder for Rice. He's going to be 25 next year and the Vikes sorely missed him more than anything else on offense this year.

Just draft Blackmon or Jones in the first, plus Rice has had injury problems for a while

The guy has had ONE good year. I know he shows a lot of promise but I'm not trading ANY draft picks for a wr. How about trading a 4th rounder for someone that can BLOCK?

He also gave life to a dead offense this year. His absence was so evident that the Vikes deemed it necessary fill that void by coughing up picks for Randy Moss. That's how much they missed him

4th rounders usually fetch depth or stud special teamers if kept. I would not expect to get a starting caliber guard from another team by coughing up a 4th rounder, since guard is are most pressing, and yet arguably, only, need on OL.

Do not forget that Rice was coming off an injury!!!! Do not remember what it was. Would be a good pu if it was a 7th.

Excellent bargaining chip for grabbing him, but I think he's just fine now. He showed he was still a playmaker in the limited time he did play .

Nnamdi Asomugha is a free agent this year. Anybody want him? I think signing Rogers would be cheaper but Asomugha is probably a top 2 corner in this league with Revis. We could have Asomugha Island in the secondary next year.

Dawan Landry anybody? A Laron Dawan Safety pairing sounds sweet.

All kidding aside i would on offense sign:
Leinhart, as a solid player to compete for the starting job.
Tim Hightower: fast, young, and helpful as a counter to torain's power running.
Mike Sims-Walker: nothing expensive but an able wide receiver who is young. As good as any second round receiver.

They're both strong safties except Dawan isn't as gifted physically as Laron. We would basically be bringing in a starting caliber player to be a backup simply because he's related to one of our players.

Well remember Baltimore already has the best FS in the league. Dawan is their in the box compliment to Reed. As I said before Dawan is Laron with less raw athletic ability. Then again Dawan is probably the smarter one seeing as how he attended Georgia Tech and graduated while Laron attended LSU and left after three years.
