Ahhh, ok. I guess it was a bad joke.lol Like you I do like the pick. No one on this board could honestly say they are comfortable with Rex Grossman as the backup for more than half a season. I love having a competent young intelligent QB to groom along with RGIII either in case we need him due to injury or for trade bait in the future...The former to me is more likely and the reason they drafted him. Good draft so far in my eyes. |

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
they probably saw cousins as a good value at this position, someone whom they could develop into a quality backup, and someone who fits the system. i understand the pick, just never was his biggest fan in college. i don't think its a terrible pick. you need 2 QBs that can play.

Disappointed.......there are going to be suitable backups on the street soon enough......would have liked to have seen O-line or ILB.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
3 years down the road, we might get a willing buyer for Cousins for more than one sleeper pick in the 4th round.

I like the value of the pick in the 4th round, this kid could have went in the 3rd round.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
He should have went in the 2nd. Very very very solid prospect. However this is the perfect situation for him.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
Harbaugh is doing trade talks via skype, intimidating opposing GMs.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
I like the pick in a vacuum, but I would have preferred secondary or OL depth.
As a Big 10 season ticket holder, I like Cousins a lot. Tougher than dirt, great, great attitude and talented enough. Waaaaaaay better than Ricky Stanzi, who I think a lot of people here liked last year. |

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
I haven't been following the draft too much. I can't belive there are no other high-quality players availalbe now. I know we need a solid back-up, but there are other positions that should have been addressed with this pick. It will be real intersting to see what the next pick is.
