Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Well, hes going to need a contract soon, if you follow him on Twitter it appears his wife is spending plenty of his money.
Oh, and she has a nice rack.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
The thing is if you get the defense ranked to say 15th in the league that takes a whole lot of pressure off KC. KC is a very good QB but he will never be a Aaron Rogers put this team on my back I am carrying them to the NFC Championship game QB.
The Giants might be the blue print for how to rebuild our defense through FA. You take the Giants D and our O and make a team we are easily one of the top teams in the league. I think we also need a legit RB. Fat Rob was cute for half a season but he is not going to get it done all next season.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Listening to Cooley and Kevin... starting to get very nervous about Kirk coming back. Sounds like it's a SM issue with Kirk. Why can't this organization ever get it right?? Why would you want to start over with an unproven QB??

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
I will say it again but that whole thing after the Packers game between SM and KC I believe there is some tension between those two.

I think he is gone. I have a pit in my stomach that won't go away. I can't continue to support this team when guys running this organization care more about how they feel (Ego) than winning. Get ready for Colt. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
As many stupid things that this organization has done in the past, I really don't think they let Cousins go without having something huge in return. We can now say Kirk Cousins in a Pro Bowl quarterback. He's clearly the best QB this team has had in years. For the Redskins to let Cousins go would be asinine. I would almost bet anything you hear in the media about Cousins going to the 49ers or the Redskins brass having spats with Cousins is purely speculation created in order to help build Kirk's marketability. It's either created by his agent or someone else wanting to sabotage any deal the 'skins might try to lay out on the table for KC.
Even if it's true that Scot McCloughan or Dan Snyder don't care for Cousins (and I really find that hard to believe to be honest), I don't think either are dumb enough to think Cousins is expendable at this point.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
If I were in charge of the skins I make an offer of around 22mm per year for 5/6 years 75mm guaranteed. If he does not take that then put the non exclusive franchise tag on him and let him test the market and set a price for us, if that comes back too high then let him walk and collect two first rounder's (hopefully from SF), then take the best Defensive prospect available and Deshaun Watson on #17 and let there be an open competition with him and Colt in the preseason.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Cousins aint going anywhere!! and On the SLIM chance he does think about the pressure that will be on who makes the draft pick(s) that we get in exchange. If we get Say 2 number ones and both don't end up being all world out of the gate then somebody looks very stupid and remember our number one last year is looking not so great..I say they sign Cousins!

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
I think you sign him before FT even is tendered. Even if that means a 25-26million average per year over 6 years, with 65 guaranteed.
a few points: 1) if you tag him, he now knows next years tag is 33million. That's even more outlandish than 24 million 2) if you let him test the market, some team will make a crazy offer (when is the last time a Pro Bowl/record setting qb hit free agency in the prime of his career?) 3) yes 25mill is high this year, but likely the cap hit would be 19-21million, more than doable with 65Million in space. and going forward his cap hit will decline as a percentage of the cap (assuming its continued growth). Think about Aaron Rodgers, Could anyone sign him now for what GB signed him for what he was signed for in 2013/14. No way. 4) d***it I just want the Skins qb situation to be a done deal with a competent qb. Is that too much to ask??????? |

Round and round we go. Think I'll ask the girl making my next burrito at Chipotle what she thinks of all this. I'll let you guys know.
