Yeah and a couple of them came at a crucial time too, but he tore it up, definitely kept us in the game.

Re: Washington Wizards 2010-2011 Ongoing Thread
sheet, i missed the game. wall brought alot of energy and intensity when he was with UK. seems like the kid LOVES bball. im so happy the wizards got him, im just happy therre was legit no 1 overall talent for them to draft.
who does wall compare to? i always think d wade with less power at the rim but more defense.

I'm most impressed with Thornton's improvement. He's been very aggressive on offense and our best rebounder. I never thought he'd put up a fight when Josh Howard returns, but it looks like we will have two solid small forwards on the team. WE're still a 25-30 win team at best, likely a 20-25 win team, but I enjoy watching these guys.

Never underestimate the impact of a superstar PG that knows how to get others involved. As long as Wall's on the floor, Thornton can look like Shawn Marion. Without Wall, I think we'd be seeing a very inefficient scorer.

How is his court vision? I'm hoping that last night was an indication because that speed isn't going to always be there so it would be nice to know that he'll be able to carry this team for a while. Granted of course that he doesn't try to dip out like every other NBA player worth a damn.

Re: Washington Wizards 2010-2011 Ongoing Thread
He's definitely benefiting from Wall's assists, but I've actually been more impressed with his ability to create his own shot in the block and his willingness to fight for rebounds. He lost a bit of weight in the offseason and it shows in his speed and jumping. Very spry. He's dunking in situations where he would have floated a shot last year.

Good win against the Rockets. I was watching the game at a bar in Houston, and people were bewildered that I was rooting for the Wiz Kids.

Re: Washington Wizards 2010-2011 Ongoing Thread
When Blache, McGee and YI toughen-up the Wizards will be both formidable and exciting. The Rockets are banged-up right now, but that can't devalue the Wizards effort last night. A triple double for the little big man.
