In fact this has confirmed what I learned back in 2008 with the coaching search that when someone invokes the word process multiple times, chances are nothing good is going to come out of it.

The show, the excuses, the collusion, the flat out ass kissing. And all to join a team that's frankly shouldn't even be allowed to exist.

Parity is when you're considered a legend for getting 3 or 4 rings, not 11.
When I look at the NBA I see a very top heavy league. Just a personal preference, but it seems with the NBA once you're on the top it seems easy to stay there.

On a separate note though I don't think I qualify as a basketball fan anymore. I have ZERO recollection of Lebron making it to the NBA Finals against the Spurs. Looks like I took 2007 off when it came to the NBA. Still to have no memory of that is shocking to me. Baseball I can understand but basketball?
What are you talking about? Who's got 11 rings? Are you talking about Phil Jackson?

Re: NBA Screwed?: James Leaning Towards Heat

I want to see how this works out in regular season vs. playoffs.

In all honesty, I don't think these triple headed monster is going to work. I think it will be good for some high flying dunks and amazing streaks of scoring (which will be enough to take 1st or 2nd in the east), but when it comes down to playoffs, how will it work out with 9 players being minimum contract players like Kwame Brown and Mike Miller.

Better yet, what if one of them gets hurt? Who is going to replace the 40 minutes a game they will be using?

I want to see how it will work.

Does Jesse Jackson really have to turn everything into a slavery analogy?

Omg. What a gigantic fail. I'm certainly for racial equality, but Jesse Jackson is such a turd.

The man is so blind he actually holds his race back in ways. If people can ever be justified for using slurs based on race he's the poster boy for the exception list, not that I condone it. So many people try to ride in on a high horse that aren't worth the mud and droppings below the hoof and he's one of them. It's a shame that the likeness of true civil pioneers like Thurgood Marshall don't rest in the minds of many of the so called rights movement leaders of today.

What a bad choice of words. I'll never equate a man getting paid millions upon millions of dollars to play a game as being a "slave." If Dan Gilbert was black he wouldn't have said anything, he just looks at it like another case of a rich white guy keeping the black man down, despite the whole, "he gave LBJ everything he could've to bring a championship to Cleveland, including an assload of money, whatever position player LBJ asked for to help him out, etc. etc."

That's the type of thing I would love to hear as a joke from Chris Rock. Unfortunately hearing it come from Jessie Jackson simply makes me shake my head. Jessie Jackson reminds me of people like this.

In 2010, Bush was featured almost shirtless on the cover of Essence Magazine as part of an issue about "Black Men, Love & Relationships."[41] However there was controversy as some black female readers took offense to Bush on the cover of such an issue, since he was involved with Kardashian (who is not Black) and Bush was accused of only dating non-Black women.[42]

A couple of more surgeries, and JJ becomes the second coming of Joan Rivers?
He is nothing if not entertaining...........

Re: NBA Screwed?: James Leaning Towards Heat

People like JJ work way to hard trying to manufacture racial atrocities out of relative innocence.
A friend on mine and I were having a similar conversation some time ago. He wisely advised me that JJ and the Rev al, etc do not represent or speak for the black community in general(except in their own minds).

Thought this would fit well into a thread called "NBA Screwed?"

JR Smith pulled a Sprewell.
