Re: 2012 QB Class
The Redskins need a QB. While Grossman knows the offense, but has consistently thrown picks to opposing defense, Beck hasn't done much either. I know John Beck is trying to work behind a patchwork offensive line, but I see an inexperienced QB who holds the ball for far too long. I see a QB who overthrows his receivers. While Beck can scramble and positively lead the offense, he hasn't shown in preseason or the 9 quarters he's played in the regular season why Mike Shanahan thinks so highly of him.
Mike Shanahan is being heavily criticized for not getting a QB in the draft or free agency. I've looked at many mock drafts for 2012, and many of them have the Redskins drafting Robert Griffin III with their first round draft pick. If Mike Shanahan passes on Griffin III and doesn't upgrade the QB position for a second year in a row, then there will be a lot of angry fans. Last edited by REDSKINS4ever; 11-03-2011 at 04:13 PM. |

Re: 2012 QB Class
Didnt say Weeden would be the best fit for the Redskins. Just how I rank the top 5 QBs. Dont think Jones is a great fit either but still think he is #2. Best fit for the Skins I think are Luck, RGIII and Tannehill in that order.

Re: 2012 QB Class
You don't want Weeden he's too old. You don't want Landry Jones either, he's too shaky. He reminds me of a less accurate Marc Bulger. He'll over throw his receivers when their wide open too much. My friend graduate from OU and watches all their games. He said that you can't even compare Bradford and Landry when it comes to the NFL in terms of talent. The few times I've seen Landry play he throws picks and/or allows the opposing team a good chance to come back into the game and/or win the game.

Re: 2012 QB Class
RG3 is a brilliant man, academically and on the football field. Also the most accurate of the top QB's, a leader, and runs a 4.4. If he is there when we pick, I hope we take him.
I like Landry Jones too, I think he'll be really good. As far as the black/white / athletic/non-athletic BS goes, I'd like to point out that Doug Williams was maybe the least athletic QB ever to win a Super Bowl, especially with the bad back. Most athletic QB to win a Super Bowl, obviously JOEY T!!! |

Re: 2012 QB Class
I honestly think RG3 will end up being the 2nd Qb taken. And I think a team would even be tempted to take him at #1.

Re: 2012 QB Class
I must say im on the griffin bandwagon! He can make all the throws, can run *vick ahem*, and has intangibles coming out of the whazoo!! I say take that man no matter what pick we have!! Now, what to do with the 2nd and 3rd? I like dwight jones WR in the 2nd and xavier nixon OT in the 3rs...
