Cundin really? I guess Brady will get the credit for this even though it was pure luck they won. Evans should have had that TD catch.

Goats of the game are definitely Evans and Cundif.

At this point I'm gong for San Fran too. I would much rather they face the Patriots instead of the Ravens anyway. I would love to see Alex Smith defeat Tom Brady.

Might as well.. the bandwagon around here that haven't paid attention to football since the late 80s/early 90s is annoying but could be worse with other teams I suppose

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Game Thread

You talk about a choke away kick, although Evans HAS to make that catch.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Game Thread

Flacco had been really awful in the playoffs through his first three seasons. This year, he put together two pretty nice games.

There's a huge difference between the two defenses each faced, but there's not enough of a difference to account for this fact: Joe Flacco just flat outplayed Tom Brady in the playoffs up in Foxboro. Hard to understate how rarely that happens.

And like I said every year for the past six years the team the redskins have played in the regular season has won the super bowl. The ravens are the only team we didn't play this year remaining in the playoffs.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Game Thread

I thought the refs did really well in that AFC Championship game. It was physical on the outside, and you could have easily called a bunch of illegal contact fouls, especially on the Patriots at the end of the game. But they let both defenses get away with borderline stuff. And by letting them play, you limit potential controversy at the end of the game.

Yeah let em bump around a bit.. but I think that they missed some holds on each side.. seems to be trending in the NFL though.. thought the Pats CBs got away with a lil holding and/or PI but nothing crazy

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Game Thread

I dunno why people are signing away the Super Bowl to the Pats. Honestly I expected (and hoped for) a Pats v. Saints Super Bowl seeing as I'm a part time Saints fan, but the 49ers scrapped that.

I mean if the 49ers can beat Breezy... Then I really think this Super Bowl is up for grabs.
