Bench him for Cousins week 1, Calia. Besides the draft is over and the season starts tomorrow. We might as well just wait till our first pick in next years draft for any hope of having a winning football team... SMMFH

Dude, all I am saying is that we have more pressing needs than OLB, particularly given how bad our O-line was last year (and secondary). I don't think that's an unreasonable conclusion, and I don't think drafting for need is a bad approach either.

Don't get me wrong -- I get the best player available approach too, but does anyone think this guy is that? The write-ups on hims are solid, projecting him as a 2-3 round player, suggesting that we picked him in about the right spot -- but I haven't seen anything yet that suggests we got great value or anything approaching a steal (time will tell). He seems like more of a depth signing to me -- something we can't afford with the holes we have and so few picks.

BTW, I think the Packers are having a good draft -- I really like the WR out of Fresno St. they picked up. I have a feeling that guy will be great (although having Aaron Rodgers throw the ball your way helps a lot).

I don't know that they see him as just a OLB but more of just a pass rush guy which we all have known as a target since the offseason started.

There are still Ts available that people were suggesting at 34. Let's just wait. HTTR

The one guy on our team that needs to be replaced at all costs is Polumbus imo.

Do you like the Murphy pick? The timing of it i mean, not addressing the pass rush or Murphy in particular. Is it the direction you would have gone if the Skins gave you the honor? Lol.

Probably not where I would have gone. But I don't study players for a living either. Just reading up on him real quick I think there's a lot to like there.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft: Rounds 2-3

No one's going to agree on this pick until we actually see him on the field for substantial gameplay and even then who're we kidding people still won't agree 100%. For the time being the people who thought it was too soon or just don't like it at all will get bashed for voicing an opinion by some just as those who like it or are just going along with what the team does will get bashed for voicing that opinion as well by some. This is what makes the offseason go from enjoyable to unbearable at the drop of a dime lol. Here's to always hoping for the best with this team even if I don't 100% agree with the moves 100% of the time.

Meanwhile the Jags just got two really solid wrs. I really liked the thoughts of Robinson in a Skins uniform before we added DJax.

None of us are experts but we all have common sense

Not hard to see that we need help all over the OL

Just not goin to kill the team over one pick when we have 6 more and two coming in the next 22 picks.

Obviously the whole thing is a crapshoot. Alex Smith vs Tom Brady. However, as a fan or an expert we cannot predict the future. As it stands now Murphy is a reach that early. No question about it. Question about the future - sure. Rite now - makes little sense. Hope im dead wrong.

I'm just saying that people are complaining that this pick was a reach at a position that they as fans don't view as a need, but the FO likely sees it an entirely different way. I think Trent Murphy was the BPA, so they took him.
